Jerusalem artist David Yohanan has created this lively and colorful lithograph, a tapestry backdrop for Megillat Esther, the Scroll of Esther.

Inside cover: Yad Sarah’s Purim card campaign supports the delivery of a gift basket of Purim treats to homebound clients in Israel. One by one, Yad Sarah volunteers reach out to the frail and homebound with a personal visit, involving some of Israel’s most vulnerable and isolated members with their communities and the Purim festivities.

About the artist: David Yohanan was born in Tiberias. He studied at the Bezalel School of Art while also pursuing Judaic studies at a yeshiva, and achieved mastery as a Scribe. His dual talents are evidenced in his remarkable combinations of writing and decorations drawn in oil, charcoal, aquatint, acrylic and watercolors. His painting techniques include illuminations, micro-calligraphy, paper cuts and stained glass.
